2010 is HERE!

Happy New Year!

I believe I was at the best New Year's Party I have ever been too! It was fantastic! We celebrated in the lovely Cafe Cadeau that Emily and I decorated. We got all gussied up and had a fancy 3 course meal. We had some lovely entertainment performed by some friends of the house that recently produced a CD.

Frank led worship with his bass and Anders was on the piano. It is amazing to me how quickly we are ushered into the throne room of God. There is something very special about the worship in this house, it is so pure and holy. Once the worship starts, you never want it to end. It's as if you have finally found your purpose in life, it's just right. We had people there that weren't Christians and they love the music. They love the people, they just can't get enough. After worship, Betina and David "Buck" Hudson spoke for a few minutes challenging and encouraging us into the New Year. Then we broke out the non-alcoholic champagne and prepared for the count down! We had a projector set up and as everyone was cheering in the New Year We watched some fireworks at the lake and the Danes began singing traditional songs.

After the songs were sung, and the champagne was drunk we ventured outside and received hugs from the drunks on the street and we began our walk/jog to the lakes. It was amazing, there were fireworks everywhere. As we neared the lakes and the buildings parted we had a more clear view sky. People were shooting fireworks off all around us, even from apartment balconies. Families were walking around with protective eye wear, and every now and again they the fireworks would fall down and shoot across the frozen lakes and streets.

We walked home every now and again running with bursts of excitement, laughing all the way. As we walked into the cafe the music was turned up and we went straight to the dance floor. We danced and danced until after 3 AM. What a superb night!
